Spend an evening at Kaup Beach and you will never regret it.
In
today’s world, where life has gotten busy and no time to spare, one should
definitely clear his or her schedule to make time to visit the Kaup Beach. This
is not just an ordinary beach that one visits. Not only does it have Rocks
where one can sit and climb and click snaps, but it has one of the most
beautiful Lighthouse that is open to everybody to visit. The Kaup lighthouse is
unlike the other lighthouses that is closed sometimes and sits there only for a
show like a monument. It is open for the public to visit. If one must go then
the best time to go is in the evening just before the sunset so that you reach
all the way up there and enjoy the beautiful setting of the sun from a height.
Kaup
beach more locally called and pronounced as “Kapu” is situated in the Udupi
District of Karnataka. It is easily accessible for those visiting Mangalore or
Udupi and the the coastal areas along the stretch. As you can see in the pictures, this place
has a beautiful scenery with a never ending sea with rocks emerging in the
middle of the sea. No doubt this beach is dangerous for one to swim, but if one
wants some peace, quite and tranquillity and just have a nice time with some
good company then this is the place.
In
today’s world where selfie’s are a must, Kaup beach is one that only provides a
great place for selfie’s but one that provides great memories too. Though the
beach is a place where a large number of tourists visit, the beach is not
crowded like those of the beaches of Goa. If one is ready for adventure, and
not scared of heights then definitely one should climb the beautiful lighthouse
that is situated on the rocks. A lot of steep steps to climb but its worth the
climb.
One
has to climb the steps through the rocks in order to reach the entrance of the
lighthouse. once at the entrance a minimum fee of Rs 10 should be payed in
order to reach the top. The One of the climb around 150 steep steps that is
enough only for one to pass through. Steps encircle the lighthouse until one
reaches the top. All this is done barefoot since it is a precautionary measure
that is taken so that no one slips and falls since it is quite at a height.
There is constant security at the beach monitoring the actions of the people
visiting in order to keep them safe.
Once
you are at the top, you can spend as much of time as you want. You can see the
whole stretch of the Kaup beach with people that look like ant figures. The
greenery is a another plus point adding to the scenery of the place. It is one
of the cleanest beaches compared to those of the other beaches in the Udupi
district. If you make a trip there I am sure you won’t regret it and it will be
one of the most beautiful memories of your life.
